Dave
Manship grew up in a Military family and began his career as a child performer,
singing in U.S.O. shows and entertaining the likes of Steve McQueen and
director Robert Wise (on the set of Sand Pebbles). Dave also performed
in summer stock, appearing with legendary performers such as Totie Fields,
Barbara Eden, and Gene Barry. Directing his talents towards the production
side, he has produced and/or edited shows for Academy Award Winner Tony
Curtis, Mark Harmon (Chicago Hope), and Brian Austin Green (Melrose
Place) among others. He was also a judge for the CableACE awards for
the last 8 years of its existence, judging the categories of Best Directing
in a Movie or MiniSeries and Best Directing in a Comedy Series.
At Cine Paris, one
of Dave's many titles is Special Projects Chief, which has provided the
catalyst for such Cine Paris projects as the long-running Diary 0049
cable series and the Jerry Fairfax
show, not to mention the cooperative agreement which provided Cine Paris
with its own TV studio for production and post-production of its television
shows and movie projects.
